Proud owner of My Love Scooty Pep+

Hello friends, One amazing feeling to have vehicle of your own in cities like Bangalore where auto drivers demands more and more money even for shorter distances. According to me rupee value for them starts from 100, even a dollar is less than 100 :P. Okay! will soon come up with one more blog about auto drivers ;);). Right now talking about my Sweetheart Pep+, its all started this way, I live in a place where local bus transport is not available to my office. So, it ended up me taking auto everyday. Its hell with these auto drivers asking them to go on meter. Routine dialogue by these folks "Kya madam, udar se koi nayi return aatha! isliye +20 extra on meter!!!", it means in return from my destination no one takes auto, thats why asking for +20 extra on meter. I really do not understand the point, Business park is almost located in the centre of the city and no ones asks for a auto over there!! Weird :O. Finally I have taken a big step of buying a scooty though I do not know how to ride. Yes,I have learnt it once I got my scooty. Over Weekend my buddy taught me how to ride, practiced for 2 days then on Monday morning took my scooty to office. OMG! mixed feelings, nervousness, excitement, afraid!!!. For almost 1 month I was just maintaining on left side of the road, no overtaking and and speed 20 :P. Now when I easily overtake people, maintaining maximum speed, feels great. Its been more than an year with my Pep+, just loving it :):)

Great Day..!!

Hello friends,
I am here to tell about today's Gloss session, which was about Partitions-Installations. This was taken by Sanjeev Gopinath, in which he explained how partition can be done, steps involved in it. Next he explained the installation of Ubuntu inside Windows. The only thing you have to do is to select a particular drive like C-drive or E-drive in your windows, where to install it and amount of space, say for ex.15GB you require for it. It can be installed very easily. It was almost 6.10 when he finished his talk. And after that, it was my turn for a community talk. I talked about www.javapassion.com, where you get the free online courses for learning java technologies. This website is mainly for the people who have passion for Java technologies which was introduced by Sang Shin, a member of Sun Microsystems. The only thing you have to do is to register for the course and start learning, also talked about one more cool website called www.java.net through which you can get involve in doing Java projects or publicize your own projects. This site also contains many stuffs like communities, forums, recent updates of Java etc etc.. This day was very special to me..! I was given a great opportunity to talk about these sites, which will help you to enhance your programming skill on Java technologies.

Gloss Session...

Hi friends,

Here in this blog I am going to tell about today's Gloss session which I have attended. Actually today I was having open elective by 5 and thought that I ll not be able to attend the session, later when I went there, found that sir was on leave so some how managed to be there in the seminar hall by 5.15. Today session started with Open Source and it's benefits. Firstly Dwaraknath told what does it mean and how it is useful to the world. As a part of session he also told about Second Life, which is nothing but a free 3D virtual world where users can socialize, connect and create using voice and text chat and gave a small demo of second life. And then he spoke about blogging which will help for one's development in one way or the other. We were shown some famous blogs. At last the session ended by giving a brief description about Osum, a technical social networking community,in which we can discuss the technical stuffs, can blog, make friends etc etc.. For more information visit http://osum.sun.com. I think there was no proper publicity, only a few were there in the hall. So a small advice from my side to the folks who is handling this to see that people are aware of Gloss sessions so that more will be benefited from this.
